Biography

During a career that spans the Atlantic, David Joycey, a graduate of Cambridge and London Universities, worked as a teacher in England and Northern Canada, a pastor with the United Church of Canada, and a program manager at New Directions in Winnipeg before graduating with a law degree from the University of Manitoba and being called to the bar in 1994.

During his 29 year legal career, Mr. Joycey practiced for several years as a criminal defence lawyer both in Winnipeg and rural Manitoba before being appointed Supervising Attorney at the Child Protection Law Office of Legal Aid Manitoba.

David Joycey is currently a solo practitioner with a busy practice centered in Winnipeg, and has cultivated and maintains solid collegial relationships with lawyers in varying areas of practice, so no question ever goes unanswered!
